Dear HVI Doctors and staff,
The outbreak of COVID-19 has created uncertainty across the globe. During these unprecedented times, the health and well-being of all our employees, referring physicians and their staff, patients, and their families is our top priority. We remain in constant conversation with local governments and public health authorities and have been following the situation very closely as we all aim to tackle this global pandemic as quickly as possible.
It’s been a week unlike any other in our 34 years of service. We took this week to assess the situation and the need for our services. In view of the OMA directives for doctors to work remotely with telephone consultation, our referral volumes have dropped drastically, losing approximately 75%.
Nevertheless, we have rearranged our schedules and we will keep the clinics open. Some of the hospitals are already closing their Diagnostic Imaging departments to the public, and have approached us to service their urgent patients.
Despite the Covid-19 epidemic, we believe we have an obligation to ensure that all our patients have access to Diagnostic Imaging Services for any urgent and essential needs. We believe it is our duty to provide urgent and essential diagnostic imaging services as needed. We will operate at a reduced schedule Monday – Friday, 9:00-4:00. We request that all our patients first call us for proper and thorough screening. The safety of our staff and patients is our top priority.
